New School Opened In Sunny Isles Beach Florida
Sunny Isles Beach K-8 School opened on August 8th, 2008.
The brand new school is the latest architectural and technological statement for a brand new public school construction. The school offers four stories carriculum facility and a baseball field and of course the cafeteria, gym and auditorium. The Sunny Isles Beach school is equipped with the latest technological gadgets like computers in every class and the media center.

expected to have 800 children in the new school, however, over 1,600 children have signed up. This was quite a surprise: “we just didn’t think there were that many children” said Principal Annette Weissman. With the population of Sunny Isles Beach rising, it is estimated somewhere to be 20,000, compared to the 15,000 listed in the 2000 census. The population had nearly doubled since the incorporation of the city in 1997, listing just 12,000 people living in Sunny Isles Beach.
The new Sunny Isles Beach school
is conveniently located on 201 182nd Drive in Sunny Isles Beach, or right across from Trump Royale and Trump Palace. Sunny Isles Beach also offers six parks within the city’s 2 ½-square-mile radius and two more parks are on the way.
The Sunny Isles Beach school will be setting highest standards
for quality education and is aiming to receive an A rating from the state during the first year. The school will focus on a strong curriculum of science, math and technology. In addition, the school will offer art and music, Spanish classes and a gifted program. A number of after school opportunities will also be made available to the students as well through a cooperative agreement to use the city’s community center as well as the baseball field and gymnasium.
